LA BEAUTE DE L’ OCEAN

IT’S BEEN ALMOST 9 MONTHS SINCE MY LAST TIME IN THE MALDIVES.
THIS TIME WE WERE ON A BOAT TRIP WITH 10 OTHER PEOPLE, FIVE SURFERS, FIVE NON SURFERS AND A PHOTOGRAPHER.
EVERY TIME I VISIT THE MALDIVES IT’S LIKE IS MY FIRST TIME, TAKING THOUSANDS OF PICTURES, POSING WITH THE PALMS, POSING ON THE WHITE SAND BEACHES, AND I DO WONDER : EFFIE, THAT’S ENOUGH ! YOU ALREADY HAVE 10 DIFFERENT ALBUMS FROM 10 DIFFERENT TRIPS HERE! BUT SOMEHOW IT NEVER GETS OLD!

SOMETHING THAT WAS REALLY EXCITING WAS THAT I SWAM WITH EAGLE RAYS. WE WERE OUT ON A SNORKELING TRIP IN THE LAGOON AND OUT OF NOWHERE WE SPOTED TWO MASSIVE EAGLE RAYS.

I WAS AMAZED AT HOW BEAUTIFUL AND MAJESTIC THEY WERE. OF COURCE THIS THOUGHT PROCESS WAS CUT SHORT WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY STARTED HEADING TOWARDS US. I FREAKED OUT! LET’S JUST SAY I COULDN’T GET OUT OF THE WATER FAST ENOUGH.
ALSO IN THE CRAZY CREATURES DEPARTMENT I SAW THE BIGEST AND FREAKIEST MORAY EAL EVER! I SWEAR SHE SMILED AT ME… BUT I’M NOT SURE SHE MEANED IT IN A GOOD WAY!

THIS TIME IN THE MALDIVES WAS A BIT OF A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE FOR ME, BECAUSE I SPENT MORE TIME IN FLIPPERS AND MASK THAN WAXING MY SURFBOARD!

ON THIS TRIP WHAT I REALLY WANTED TO DO WAS TO RELAX AND FOR ME THERE IS NO THERAPY LIKE THE SEA THERAPY!

THE COLOR OF THE WATER WAS SO JEWEL-LIKE IT WAS ALMOST LIKE SWIMMING IN LIQUID BLUE TOPAZ. ADD THAT TO SNOW-WHITE BEACHED AND YOU HAVE THE RECIPY FOR RELAXATION.

MORE MALDIVES NEWS COMING SOON, STAY TUNED
